Rosemary was elected to the office of Treasurer and Public Trustee November 2006. Rosemary was a member of the Treasurer’s office for 8 years and spent part of that time as the Chief Deputy Treasurer. Rosemary’s additional experience includes 10 years working in a local financial institution and 14 years serving in management and supervision at a large mail order business in Virginia. She has attained the status of a Colorado County Certified Treasurer and Public Trustee through Mesa State University.
Rosemary is originally from Virginia and relocated to Montrose in 1988. She considers Montrose her home, as does her only daughter and grandson. She is very involved in the community and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Sharing Ministries Food Bank Board of Directors. Rosemary also volunteers for her church, the Health Fair each year, and is an active member of the Giving Club, the Montrose Republican Women, and the League of Women Voters. Previously, Rosemary was a member of Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors for 9 years.
Rosemary’s goals for this office are to continue to fulfill the obligations of Treasurer and Public Trustee as directed by Colorado State Statutes and to utilize the many years of experience of the staff. The office will continue to offer excellent customer service and professionalism to the citizens of Montrose County.
