Communications

Overview

The Montrose County Communications Division, led by Communications Director Katie Yergensen, works within the Office of County Management at the direction of the County Manager. The social media accounts and websites are county outreach efforts to inform the public of upcoming events.

Responsibilities

The Communications Division is responsible for disseminating news related to Montrose County elected offices and departments, scheduling and developing public presentations and meetings, and public outreach as directed by the Board of County Commissioners and Elected Officials. The Montrose County Communications Director is also the Public Information Officer in the Incident Command Staff during an emergency. The Communications team updates and maintains county social media accounts and Montrose County websites.
