AIR FORCE TRAINING EXERCISE AT MONTROSE COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT

AIR FORCE TRAININGE EXERCISE AT MONTROSE COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT

Montrose, COLO.— On 20 April 2017, you may see a number of US Air Force C-17A Globemaster III cargo aircraft executing practice approaches and landings to Montrose County Regional Airport. These aircraft are attached to the United States Air Force Weapons School, Nellis Air Force Base, NV. The pilots flying these aircraft are students of the 57th Weapons Squadron and are honing their skills flying into unfamiliar mountainous airfields. This training is imperative to prepare these Air Force Officers to lead future combat operations across the world.

The 57th Weapons Squadron would like to thank Mr. Lloyd Arnold and the staff of Montrose County Regional Airport for their hospitality and allowing the 57th Weapons Squadron to utilize the airfield for our training.
